Data we collect
Account and profile. When you create an account we collect your email address, name, date of birth, and sex, plus optional profile details you choose to add (username, photo, bio). Your date of birth and sex are used because biological-age estimation depends on them.
Health and fitness data. This is the core of the app, and you control every part of it:
- Apple Health (read-only). With your permission, JuvenAI reads activity, heart, sleep, body-composition, and related measurements from Apple Health (for example: steps, distance, active energy, heart rate, heart-rate variability, blood oxygen, body temperature, respiratory rate, resting heart rate, blood pressure, body-fat percentage, lean body mass, sleep stages, and workouts). JuvenAI never writes to Apple Health, and you can withdraw this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
- Connected wearable. If you pair a compatible ring or band over Bluetooth, JuvenAI collects the same categories of measurements directly from the device.
- What you log. Meals, workouts, mindfulness sessions, sleep notes, and similar entries you record in the app.
- Lab results. Lab reports you choose to upload are processed to extract biomarker values (for example glucose, cholesterol, CRP). You review and confirm every extracted value before it is saved to your record.
- Clinical record. Allergies, medications, and conditions you choose to enter.
- Derived results. From the above, the app computes results for you, such as your biological-age estimate and coaching recommendations.
Content you provide. Meal photos, uploaded lab files, voice descriptions of meals (transcribed to text), and anything you post in the community — posts, messages, team content.
What we do not collect. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not collect your contacts, browsing history, or precise location history. Location is used only while you actively record a workout, to draw your route, and never outside an active workout.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to provide the app's functionality: estimating your biological age, building your dashboards and trends, generating your coaching recommendations, powering the community features you choose to use, and keeping your account working. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to track you.
AI processing
Some features send specific content to Google's Gemini API for processing: meal photos and voice descriptions (to estimate nutrition), uploaded lab reports (to extract biomarker values), and a summary of your context (to generate coaching recommendations). This content is processed to provide the feature and is not used by Juvenai for any other purpose.
Apple Health commitments
Data read from Apple Health is used only to provide the app's health and fitness features for you. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties except the storage and processing providers described in this policy, acting on our instructions to deliver the feature you requested.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Supabase) protected by row-level security, meaning each account's rows are technically isolated to that account. Files such as photos and lab uploads are stored in Amazon Web Services (S3). All data is encrypted in transit.
Sharing
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- Service providers. Supabase (database and authentication), Amazon Web Services (file storage), and Google (Gemini API processing; Google sign-in if you use it) process data on our behalf to run the app.
- Community. Content you post is visible to other users according to your privacy settings. You can restrict visibility and block other users at any time.
- Legal. We may disclose data if required by law.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time inside the app (Profile → App Settings → Account → Delete account), which removes your account and its associated data from our systems. You can also ask us to delete your data by contacting us at the address below.
Your choices
You decide what to connect and what to log: Apple Health permission is optional and revocable in iOS Settings; the wearable can be disconnected at any time; community privacy settings control what others see; and every lab upload is reviewed by you before anything is saved.
Children
JuvenAI is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and the effective date, and note the change in the app.
